Tournaments

Tournaments are competitive events where players compete for prizes based on their gaming activity. Use this page to create tournaments, save reusable templates, run each tournament through its lifecycle, and monitor standings.

Open the tournaments page

  1. In the sidebar, select Promotions > Tournaments.
  2. The page opens on two tabs: Tournaments (scheduled and running competitions) and Templates (reusable configurations you launch tournaments from).

Above the Tournaments list, four summary cards count Total, Scheduled, Active, and Finalized tournaments. Select a card to filter the list to that status.

The Tournaments tab: summary cards, filters, and the tournament list.

Tournament basics

Every tournament is a leaderboard: players are ranked by a single scoring metric over the tournament's scheduled period, and prizes go to the top ranks.

Choose one scoring metric:

  • Wager amount — total amount staked.
  • Win amount — total amount won.
  • Net win — amount won minus amount staked.
  • Highest multiplier — the best single win-to-stake ratio.

Choose one entry type:

  • Automatic — every eligible player takes part without joining.
  • Opt-in — players must join to take part and appear on the leaderboard.

The tournament list

The Tournaments tab lists each tournament in these columns:

ScoringThe scoring metric used to rank players
ScheduleStart and end date and time

Narrow the list with:

  • Search — match by name or description.
  • Status — Draft, Scheduled, Active, Baking, Finalized, or Cancelled.
  • Type — currently Leaderboard.
  • Archived toggle — off by default; turn it on to include archived tournaments (and to add Archived to the status filter).

Create a tournament

  1. On the Tournaments tab, select Create Tournament.
  2. Choose how to start:
    • From Scratch — configure every setting manually.
    • From Template — start from a saved template or draft, then set the schedule.

The Create Tournament dialog: start from scratch or from a template.

  1. Work through the builder steps: Basics, Schedule, Entry, Eligibility, Scoring, Prizes, and Review.

The tournament builder on the Basics step, showing the step navigation, the lifecycle lock notice, save mode, and player-facing card content.

Basics

  • Internal name — identifies the tournament in the backoffice.
  • Save mode — save as a draft or as a scheduled tournament.
  • Leaderboard enabled — show the leaderboard on player-facing tournament cards and detail pages.
  • Card content — the player title, subtitle, and short description, each editable per language. Default-language content is required before scheduling; missing translations fall back to the default language. Select AI Translate to generate the missing translations.

Schedule

Set the start and end date and time and the timezone they apply in.

Entry

  • Entry type — Automatic or Opt-in.
  • Max players — an optional cap on participants for opt-in tournaments.

Eligibility

Restrict which games count toward scoring — by provider, category, or specific games — and, optionally, which player segments the tournament is shown to.

Scoring

Set the scoring metric, optionally a minimum bet amount a bet must meet to count, and whether cash stakes, bonus stakes, or both count toward the score.

Prizes

Assign prizes to ranks or rank ranges. Each prize is one of:

  • Cash reward — a cash amount with a claim method (automatic or manual).
  • Bonus — a bonus from a selected reward template, plus an amount.
  • Free spins, Freebet, or Cashback — awarded from a selected reward template.

Enter prize amounts per currency, or set a single base amount. Amounts are illustrative — for example, in euros: 1st place €500, 2nd place €250, 3rd place €100.

  1. On Review, confirm the configuration and save.

Once a tournament is committed or running, its scoring-related settings — schedule, entry, eligibility, scoring, and prizes — are locked, and only display content can be edited. Operational commands additionally require permission and an audit reason.

Templates

The Templates tab holds reusable configurations you launch tournaments from. Above the list, cards count Total Templates, Active, and Draft/Inactive.

The Templates tab listing saved tournament templates.

Templates are listed in these columns: Template (name and description), Type, Scoring, Entry, Duration, Status, and Actions.

Each template row offers these actions:

  • Edit the template.
  • Create Tournament from the template (or from a draft template).
  • Duplicate the template.
  • Delete the template.

To add a template, select Create Template and configure it in the same builder used for tournaments, then save.

Run a tournament

The controls on each tournament row depend on its status:

  • View Leaderboard — open standings and enrollments (any tournament that is not a draft).
  • Edit — change a draft tournament's settings.
  • View Settings — open a read-only view of a scheduled or running tournament.
  • Duplicate — copy the configuration into a new draft you can edit and schedule.
  • Cancel — cancel a scheduled tournament. No prizes are awarded and it is removed from player views. An audit reason is required.
  • Graceful stop — stop an active tournament. It enters a short baking period and then finalizes automatically. An audit reason is required.
  • Prize Recovery — on baking or finalized tournaments, review prize awards and retry any that did not complete.

View the leaderboard and enrollments

  1. On a tournament row, select View Leaderboard.
  2. The panel has two tabs.

The Leaderboard tab shows current rankings: Rank, Player, the scoring-metric amount, Bets, and Last Activity. The top three ranks are marked with medals.

The Enrollments tab lists participating players with Status, Score, and Enrolled At. For an active player in an active tournament, select the disqualify action and enter a reason to remove them.

Select Refresh to pull the latest standings at any time. While a tournament is active, the panel also refreshes on its own every 30 seconds.
