Freespins
Freespins are promotional offers that give players a set number of free slot spins. Use this page to create, configure, and manage the freespin templates you later grant to players.
The page is titled Freespin Templates in the backoffice. A template defines a reusable offer once; you then grant it to players through campaigns, bonus packages, loyalty rewards, or a manual grant on a player's page.
Open the freespins page
Open Freespins from the Promotions area of the sidebar. The page opens on the freespin templates list, with summary cards above it.
Summary cards

Each row also carries Clone, Edit, and Delete action buttons.
Filter the list
- Search — matches the template name or description.
- Status — narrows the list to Active or Inactive templates.
Set your filters, then select Apply. Select Reset to clear them.
Create a template
Select Create Template to open the create modal. The modal has two tabs: Settings (the operational configuration below) and Content (player-facing translatable copy — see Content tab).
Fill in the Settings tab:
Name and distribution
- Template Name — required. A descriptive name, for example "Welcome 50 Free Spins".
- Distribution Type — how the grant reaches the player:
- Automatic — the grant is sent to the provider immediately when it is created.
- Manual — the grant stays pending, and the provider is contacted only when the player claims the freespins.
Provider and eligible game
- Game Provider — required. Select the provider first; the eligible game list is then filtered to that provider.
- Eligible Game — required. Select the one slot game these freespins run on. Game providers typically support freespins on only a single game per template.
Both the provider and the game are locked once the template is created. When you edit an existing template, they show a Cannot be changed after creation note and cannot be edited.
Provider bet configuration
The per-spin bet is set in the Provider Bet Configuration section, which appears once you select a provider that exposes bet settings. Enter the amount for the provider's bet field. When a provider offers more than one bet configuration, choose which one to use first. Amounts are entered and shown in the brand's own currency.
Spins and expiration
- Number of Spins — required. How many spins to award (at least 1).
- Expiration (hours) — required. How long until unused spins expire. The field shows a running conversion, so 168 hours reads as 7 days.
Winnings destination
- Winnings Destination — required. Choose where winnings go:
- Cash Reward — winnings are paid to cash. See Cash reward winnings for the claim method and expiry options.
- Bonus — winnings are credited as a bonus using a Bonus Template you select. Only active bonus templates are available; if none exist, create one in the Bonuses section first. The wagering requirement is inherited from that bonus template.
Status
Set the template Active to make it available for granting, or Inactive to hold it back. Select Create Template to save.
Cash reward winnings
When Winnings Destination is set to Cash Reward, two extra options appear:

Total value
The Total Value column and figure are calculated automatically as the spin count multiplied by the bet per spin.
For example, 50 spins at €0.20 each gives a €10.00 total value. Amounts are shown in each template's own brand currency (euros are used here only as an example).
Content tab
The Content tab holds the player-facing, translatable fields, kept separate from the operational Settings:
- Title and Sub Title — shown on the reward card.
- Description — player-facing description; supports markdown.
- Claim Button Text / Play Button Text — override the default Claim and Play call-to-action labels.
- Card Background Image — optional upload. If empty, the brand's default image is used.
Winnings flow
When winnings go to cash
- The player uses the freespins.
- Winnings from the spins are totaled.
- If the claim method is Auto, winnings are credited to the cash balance immediately. If Manual, the player must claim the reward — subject to the optional expiry — before it is credited.
- The player can withdraw the cash, subject to your general withdrawal rules.
When winnings go to a bonus
- The player uses the freespins.
- Winnings from the spins are totaled.
- Winnings are credited as a bonus using the selected bonus template.
- The player must meet that bonus template's wagering requirement before withdrawal. For example, €50 in winnings at 35x wagering requires €1,750 of wagering.
Edit a template
Adjust an offer's configuration or player-facing copy before granting it more widely.
- Select the Edit button on the template row.
- Change the template details. The provider and eligible game remain locked.
- Select Update Template to apply the changes.
Edits apply to future grants only. Freespins already granted to players keep the settings they were issued with.
Clone a template
Start from an existing offer to build a similar one without re-entering every field.
- Select the Clone (copy) button on the template row.
- A duplicate is created as Inactive, with (COPY) appended to its name.
- Open and edit the clone, then set it Active when it is ready.
Delete a template
Remove an offer you no longer plan to grant.
- Select the Delete button on the template row.
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog. This action cannot be undone.
A template can be deleted only while no freespins have been granted from it. If any grants exist, the deletion is blocked and the template stays in place.
Grant freespins to players
You can grant freespins through:
- Manual grant — from a player's details page.
- Campaigns — granted automatically based on triggers.
- Bonus packages — combined with deposit bonuses.
- Loyalty rewards — redeemed with loyalty points.
Best practices
- Use descriptive names that indicate the offer value.
- Set reasonable expiration times, for example 24 to 168 hours.
- Choose games with a healthy Return To Player (RTP) percentage — the share of the stakes a game returns to players over time — for a better player experience.
- Consider the wagering requirement of any bonus template you attach for winnings.
- Monitor redemption rates and adjust offers.
Common configurations
These are illustrative offers, not platform defaults. Amounts are shown in euros as an example.
- Welcome offer — 100 spins, €0.10 bet, Bonus winnings (wagering from the selected bonus template), 72h expiry.
- Daily reward — 10 spins, €0.20 bet, Cash Reward (auto claim), 24h expiry.
- VIP reward — 50 spins, €1.00 bet, Cash Reward (auto claim), 168h expiry.
