Select a brand and open SEO → General to choose its canonical domain. The canonical URL tells search engines which address represents a page.

Canonical domain

ModeResult
Request domainUse the website domain the visitor opened. This is the default.
Primary domainUse the active website domain marked Primary in Brand Domains. Changing Primary changes canonical URLs.
Selected domainChoose an active website domain from the list. The selection stays fixed when Primary changes.

For example, with brand.example selected, opening /de/games?page=3 on a mirror produces the canonical URL https://brand.example/de/games?page=3. The same origin is used for social URLs, eligible language alternates and sitemap contents. Page paths, applied filters and page numbers remain part of the URL. These settings do not redirect visitors or choose domains by country.

Selected domain uses an existing domain of this brand. It does not accept an external URL. Email and mobile-app domains are not available as website destinations. To remove or deactivate a selected domain, first save another canonical policy or selection. In Primary domain mode, assign a replacement Primary before removing the current one.

Click Save canonical settings to apply a change, or Reset to discard the draft. If a save times out or the server fails, the card reports that the save status is unknown and offers Reload saved settings. The change may already have been stored, so reload the saved policy to see what is actually in effect before saving again. Operators with view access can inspect settings but cannot save changes. Domain eligibility is checked again when saving; a domain changed by another operator may require a new selection.

The canonical policy belongs to this brand in this environment. Content import/export does not copy a source environment's domain selection or replace the destination policy.

Game type variables in SEO Rules

Help & Tips → Variables lists the variables available for the selected rule target. Game pages, game catalogues, segments and provider catalogues expose:

VariableMeaning
gameTypeCodeStable normalized code, for example slots. Useful in comparisons.
gameTypeNameThe same translated type name shown in the catalogue, in the language of the page being viewed.

Both variables are optional. On catalogues they refer to the applied type filter; an unfiltered catalogue or provider grid has no selected type. A missing label is not replaced with a raw code. Write the desired fallback explicitly:

{{gameName}} — {{gameTypeName ?? "Games"}} | {{brandName}}
{{#if (eq gameTypeCode "slots")}}Play slots{{else}}{{pageTitle}}{{/if}}

The old SEO variable gameType is no longer accepted when creating or editing a rule. If an earlier rule contains the bare placeholder {{gameType}}, the page displays that text literally in the field containing it. Replace it with {{gameTypeName ?? "Games"}} or {{gameTypeCode ?? "all"}}. An expression with an explicit fallback, such as {{gameType ?? "Games"}}, can still render its fallback, but must use a supported variable before the rule can be saved again. Raw game API fields and the rule's Type filter retain their existing names.
